Chris "Hollywood" Dobey was born May 31, 1990, in Bedlington, England. He has been playing darts since 2010. He first appeared on TV during the 2015 UK Open in which he lost 5-1 to Nathan Aspinall in the first round. Because Gary Anderson was absent, Dobey was allowed to appear as a Challenger in the 2019 Premier League, this was also his debut in the PL. On the first night he played against Austrian Mensur Suljovic, he was well ahead 5-1 but still managed to lose the lead, he played to a 6-6 draw that night. During the 2019 Pro Tour, Chris Dobey managed to throw a 9-darter at Players Championship 2. Dobey also made his debut at the 2019 World Grand Prix, in which he managed to work his way to the semifinals by winning over: Ricky evans, Gary Anderson and Ian White. In this semifinal he played the world's No. 1 Michael van Gerwen against whom he lost 4-0. In 2023 Cris managed to win his first Major-TV title The Masters 2023
